The Brisbane EKKA is here, and there’s no better time for our Norman’s Best Breed competition! As the EKKA brings together the best of Queensland’s agricultural bounty, we’re excited to join the celebration by showcasing the finest beef breeds.

This year, we have selected the top four breeds from the  JBS/ RNA 2024 Paddock to Palate Competition –  Droughtmaster, Hereford, Charolais, and Brangus.  We’re inviting you, our valued guests, to get involved in the excitement and invite you to Taste, Rate & Win to determine Norman’s Best Breed.

Guests will be served a kebab with a portion of each breed, to judge on flavour, tenderness and overall like. As a judge, you have a chance to win a Norman Steak-Away BBQ Pack every month for a year (value $850).

The winning breed society will take home the coveted Norman’s Best Breed trophy, haloed as our Beef of the Month for October and not to mention, bag bragging rights for the year. 

We extend our appreciation to our partners at JBS Aussie Beef. As you can well imagine, it is a beast of a job categorising the breeds for this promotion!
